Chestnut Street Inn

Smiling couple in casual clothing - your innkeepers Monika and Jeff

About the Innkeepers

Jeff and Monika Sudakov are originally from Southern California. The couple lived in Las Vegas while Monika was pursuing her Master’s Degree in Cultural Anthropology at UNLV. They bought the Chestnut Street Inn in 2005, bringing with them their experience in hospitality and knowledge of food and culture. Both have backgrounds in theater, Jeff having been a musical theater performer for years and Monika a ballet dancer. Both have also travelled extensively, and you can see some of the souvenirs they have collected over the years displayed throughout the common areas of the inn.

Chef Monika is also a regular guest on Paula Sands Live! on KWQC and has been a guest on Martha Stewart Living Radio. She recently completed her certification through the International Association of Culinary Professionals to be a Certified Culinary Professional.

“The Certified Culinary Professional (CCP) Program is the only multi-disciplinary credentialing program in the culinary industry. Designed to recognize those who have reached the highest level of culinary achievement, the CCP designation is widely regarded as a symbol of leadership and knowledge…Among the ranks of CCPs are Julia Child (1912-2004), Shirley Corriher, Nathalie Dupree, Jacques Pépin, and Anne Willan – undeniably some of the profession’s most esteemed culinarians. When you apply to become a CCP, you join this select group of men and women who have made the ultimate commitment to excellence in the culinary arts. And when you earn the distinction, you invariably find that you’ve opened doors to even greater advancement and opportunity within the industry.”
